I have found (though my not so extensive experience in this area), this kind of computing best works on huge data sets, and single instruction set.
For example, If you have an algorithm which can be divided into multiple parts, and have a good sized data set which can flow through the steps of algorithms, then it has a good potential to lend itself to HPCC and distributed grid computing.
Hi Ajay ,
High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) combines multiple Symmetric
Multi-Processor (SMP) computer systems together with high-speed
interconnects to achieve the raw-computing power of classic "big-iron"
supercomputers.
HPCC have been widely used for solving problems from high-end,
floating-point intensive scientific and engineering problems to
commercial data-intensive tasks. User employment of these applications
include:
- Seismic analysis for oil exploration
- Aerodynamic simulation for motor and Aircraft design
- Molecular modeling for biomedical research
- Data mining or finance modeling for business analysis
- Space Data and Information Sciences

Mahendra can you tell me more about what a sick project is. I am not clear of the meaning. It would be great if you elaborate it with a description, so that others will also understand and the discussion would be more interesting. |
Collaboration brings about mixture of knowledge talents for both the companies. Both companies can access to the talent pool pick the best men for the job. Thus, the project gets an boost gets done with a superior quality. |
According to me there are 2 parts mainly which needs to be taken care of with regard to cross cultural or a global project management. a) Values: these differ from country to country and also from region to region. For example, people from one place... |
