Rather than worrying on Job Security. Learning right skills will help everyone. Job Security and market conditions is not in the hands of Developer. So build right skills and keep on updating on Software Engg skiils like OOPs etc. Try to get into a position were we can deliver a soultion rather than a project. Project and Solution are two diff things please note.

Technology has become an integral part of everyones life. And I don't see IT will die in the future.

And about the jobs, right now we are facing problems with it but once the economy starts taking off, there will be jobs and jobs. So keep updating you skills and have a bright future.

Yes its not going to die out .... just think can we imagin our life without any IT enabled services there will be lot more investors as we get out of this economic phase ...
