If you want better returns, invest in equities for longer tenure. Mutual Funds is another option where the risk is comparatively low. Invest through SIP in Mutual funds. At present no product is available which will give better ROI without taking risk. FD or Post office deposits which are termed as safe deposits will not give more than 7-8% returns
