Managers are generally leaders. Whileexecuting projects or tasks despite best efforts one may face failures. This is natural but some times due to importance & urgency of the project/task one becomes desperate & frustrated particularly in crunch moments. Such frustration generally aggravate the sistuation to worse. Thus what is the best way to deal such situation? Suggestions are invited.
Managers are expected to be Competent Managers.
They are Managers simply because they are fit to face the cruch, the odds and the crisis.
Still Managers are human. They have their own way of facing the demands of the situation.
They have emotion; sentiment; limitations; attachments to their familiy, soceity and profession; responsibility to organisation, superiors, subordinates, nation and mankind as a whole.
There are ways to react to the crisis. Psychologists work on that. Ways to act upon a crisis depends on many factors like individual's maturity level, physical and mental strengh, analytical charecteristics, sense of reality, understanding with the co-workers, commitment at different levels. There are different proven way of facing a crisis - discuss with people who are involved in the situation, analyse on the basis of trueness, form out a best possible way out and take time to implement that.
Reality is that in construction, everything exposed. It is the most risky job next to an war, In war people fight with the enemy, in construction people fight with the nature. Most easy solution is that, you make friendship with your enemy - which solve your problem 80%. But it is impossible. You can make friendship with nature - this is possible. I crunch, one should analyse why even making so much of friendship, things went wrong. There must be something wrong. It becomes one's duty to rectify the mistake.
Furstation comes. I take it like this....there could have been worst situation than what is now. What I could have done in such cases. Such thinking releives me a lot. Thereafter, interaction with friens, seniors, juniors, co-workers, acting upon - this is what I do at the time of frustration, at crinch moment. Taking a break, hold some time, delay action, Yoganidra - these are ways to win over a frustration.

Mr. Raj, I am living in real world where neither the dalits are allowed to enter in to temple nor allowed to walk even in the street roads where upper caste is living. Please go to rural remote areas where 80% Indians live or otherwise can be said... |
