when India constructed the sea bridge in mumbai, why were we forsed to depend on chineese engineers??

Forget about their country & look to their contribution, as every international std. project is taking shape with no of engineers & no. of labors are taking efforts for that & they all have a common goal in spite of they are belonging to different countries.

It was too surprising when a person told me that india is celebrating its credibility of mumbai fly over,i said of course ,he replied it made by foreigners like china,europe companies etc.I feel our engineers getting brainstormed,they need tax free salary,they work too hard abroad and second indias middle men need commisions,chinees very important resourse is their man power,at any cost they want utilize it.indias perents want their childrens to go for high class salary with more credibility after they pass out from study.why because they are paying lakhs of rs. for their study.most parents does not like their childrens work in india in cheap rate after completing graduation.but i know many engineers aborad strugling aborad and working extra hrs.very sincerely.if goes to india he will work only for specified time or less than that.

Our plitical leaders and middle men to change their attitude towards credibility of mother land.give more oppertunity our engineers,technicians,skilled work force to develop skill which can be an assest and pride to our nation.

All professional to be given with bind period 6 to 9 months after their graduation to build up the nation,especially rural and urben areas. for that perents to be motivated.

Chinies team was choosen to utalise their technical expertise,economical management and above all timely completion is the factor.There is no harm in utalising technology available in world any where it may be. But we must also have planning to train / develop our engineers for high technical expertise.Govt must take steps for this purpose.

Even in case of many infra-structure projects, flyover, highway project; we have taken advantage of Chinese engineers. The world is a global village now, and technology outsourcing takes place because it enables :

• state-of-the-art technology
• reduction in cost
• earlier completion of project
• better design, safety, longevity of the project due to advantages of the reduced learning- curve.

It would be wrong to say that "we wereforced to depend". Nobody forced us. In fact, we chose ourselves, because of the benefits entailed.

In lighter vein, let me ask; "Would you have been happy, if after every monsoon, a part of the bridge would require repairs ?"

There is no problem with chinese engineers. Actually it is the expertise which matters. Since they had the experience of having constructed such bridges,it was prudent that we should take their help. We have a huge force of software professionals who virtually run the services sector of many Asian, European and other countries. It is not a big deal.

your other question is almost of similar idea, and so my answer is also same.

Lack of beleif in such cases is not at all the criteria. Such ventures are mainly due to a) money (finance) b) technology (material, design etc) c) construction technology d) skilled manpower or e) experience.

I do not exactly know what was the chinese's contribution in this project.

We should remember that China has always been good in terms of hardware than we Indians. Since they have already created 10 similar bridges in the past in same span of time, I think their experience was used here. Our government did not lose its faith from Indian engineers but since they were making this type of project for the first time, Chinese experience was used for guidence in this type of first time projects.
