Can someone help me out to get a better grip on how and when to use SEO and PPC ......
Hi Taniya,
I would further elaborate what Nisha said SEO works on one's website i.e. its contents, links, its popularity & Website designing, But PPC is more than that its truly a professional approach to advertise your website by creating Campaigns, & Ad Groups within it & Ads & Keywords (more vital part of ppc stuff) within Ad Groups. further ppc allows you to bid for your keywords so as to compete other advertisers & hold positions even.
First SEO Should be floated, then when the scope for it semiliates one can switch over to PPC. Even when you are about to take up any marketing/advertising Campaigns its great to choose PPC.

ppc is part of sem. ppc is paid one. seo/sem my suggestion is SEO is the best one.

Hi taniya .... good question....
PPC is a part of SEO. My suggestions are always to combine the two. SEO is natural search which means free results whereas PPC is paid results. Remember the number of clicks a website gets does influence the natural search as well.
For a good natural search result, you must have good written contents on your website.
