Being closely involved in helping multiple web2.0 companies, i beleive the current focus is on video and social networking. The success of YouTube, created a market space which many sites entered by replicating the business model. The market space shortly saturated, and pushing new enterants in space to target regional segments.
Market Opportunities might stand with integration of such efforts. If somoene can provide a common platform, where people can use various social networking site within one window and single sign on, it will releif people a lot.
ASP model is coming back again, as of web1.0- However user interactivity has gained a lot more attention during web2.0. Rich Internet Applications are becoming more of a reality, with solutions liked Adobe Air, Open Laszlo and Microsoft's SilverLight. This market space will definately stay for a longer duration.
Moreover Web2.0 centers on the user and it is becoming ingrained in the user experience, the number one emerging market opportunity for it will be tools which exploit that focus and tools for stopping the exploitation of that focus. Although diametrically opposed, these two forces have driven and will continue to drive the internet market regardless of the delivery method or the rich user experience of Web2.0

I don't think one can use the conversations held in a social media website like facebook as an evidence, i don't know how much personal details will one reveal in sites like facebook, and most of them dont reveal their true identity and in this regard... |
