From previous discussions pertaining to ULCC , the clean sheet process discussed by Mr. Kailash & Deepthi definitely shows a scope and hope here. In my opinion and belief its Invention -> translating into R & D sort of works. Actually seeing into the field of Automobiles , its only that not many get good cool sounding Keywords unlike in Software core field of commercial software field.

So the next jobs in Automobiles will be in developing tools for the fast and agile development process of Automotive process lines. Could be for V process , Spice levels , Developing customized specialized Verification tools, the tools which reduce effort on coding and concentration Software language but rather on functionality

2. Especially Safety functionality for IEC 61508 ISO CD 26262 , the codes and tools should already be Misra Code compliant ) thats just the start , there after comes the process for theses safety systems where algorithms mean everything.

3. More to say in other words if you have heard about SAP : its functional and technical ,

so these tools in development of automotive systems , coding  fall under technical things, where as simulation of model in loop, hardware in loop, in vehicle testing according to test specifications , writing the test specification for the developed functionality ( After the concept verification -> either by pre calibration techniques , or after rapid prototyping ) , so here it opens two another doors -> Hil test bench developers and HIL test writers. Using dspace and so on.

well thats electronic parts wise, coming to the CAD and CAE side it will definitely increase more in house work towards simulation, Analysis and more into complete self development cycle. As the processing , Analysis tools are getting easier to use and more over now the Simulation engineer after making the model needs to understand the Mathematical algorithm being used, its effects its analysis , and conduct a testing methodology on Design of Experiment ( Parameter weightage , and approving it with Quality matrix -> Pmatrix )-so here mathematicians , quality oriented ...

In my opinion its only got to be looking squeezed , but actually none of the automotive development team can survive with four wings namely :Requirements team , Design development team , Verification , Integration be it Automotive systems in terms of control technology or Part design section , and another team would be particularly important is one bridges these two teams where ever necessary , imagine a cases where we have designed a gear part which interacts with a sensor to be interfaced to the software -> these system requirements would also create jobs for technicians -> but with education levels or training levels in companies should be drastically improved ... But none theless , in my opinion , not many MCA ( sorry its not to discriminate!! ) or other so called computer courses cannot really help in this field. Especially in all the above mentioned fields , its like one needs to really know how to write a discretized equation for any analysis and what it means , so just knowing the equation from the books may not help , so for such people who peep into books with lot of inquisitiveness and interest will definitely be a good time , In this field in my opinion there will be no Over night millionaires , but can definitely expect a consistent and regular incomes. And importantly the experience one gathers will not die tomorrow if a new tool comes!!! : )

Finally, there was a win for the auto industry in a vote with congress the other day. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau may have oversight in almost all financial institutions in the U.S. and the auto industries are trying to get themselves out of having this business have regulations over them. Many of the things auto industries are nevertheless able to oversee are their own interest rates and their own finances without some other company setting their regulations. I am assuming that they came so close to having regulations put to them that for just a little while at least, they'll make good choices on their own without an overseer. This was not a choice that was easy and had lots of thought and arguments from both sides presented before the ultimate vote came in. I think that we should first check these automobile industries if they are following the right standard in pricing the cars they are selling. We should also ask them if they are accepting loans for cars.

As we know the automotive industry is becoming increasingly sophisticated and technological, so proper training is important. There will be high demand for those with the right training.
I think the area that offers a whole new line of work in automotive sales and service is the huge growth of alternative fuel vehicles. As Industries are facing the  incredible pressure to reduce dependence on gas and reduce emissions, most car producers are now on a fast track to offer electric cars and hybrids. Large car manufacturers including Ford, Toyota and GM either already have electric cars in stock, or plan to add them in the next two years.
