Options can be many - simplest would be to use a cross-cable to connect the two of them via ethernet ports or use a Wireless access point (with encryption of course). If this connectivity is for transferring simple files on a occasional need basis, then bluetooth is not a bad idea too (if you can bear the low speeds).
