Hello Everyone,

                                I have done my BCA. Currently I am working in IT company and having 3 yrs of experience. Now I wants to pursue post graduation MBA / MCA (Most probably MBA) along with my job . But by which mode should I pursue my further education either by REGULAR or DISTANCE?

            About REGULAR degree. In companies regular degree always preferred than the distance. There are some colleges which allow the student to not attend the college and do your job and give the exams. But getting the regular degree in this way will create the problem for me? Like at the time of interview if the interviewer asks me how could you manage to do regular degree along with the regular job? Or my job experience will be counted as a part time? Or there is no use of such kind of regular degree? Is it better to do distance degree than this?

                About DISTANCE degree. Is the distance degree having that much of value as compared to REGULAR degree? Which distance education university preferred or considered like IGNOU, SIKKIM, SYMBOISIS etc.

                In last, is there any other consequence of DISTANCE and REGULAR degree?                                                        Which mode should I select? Or Is there any other solution on this ?

Please guide me and clarify my doubt.

Firstly, there is no wider discrimination between Regular & Distance education. I think, the purpose of Distance education came into existence, is mainly to help students who are far-away from Colleges, are unable to continue college studies due to commitments at home or to continue lateral studies (now-a-days some universities are allowing to continue courses side by side). Secondly, it seems , you are committed at work & find no time to spare on regular college. So, the alternative available is to pursue it through either Distance or Evening college (available at places). But, remember, just holding a degree may not turned to be value-added unless, you develop the skill expected out of you, in the place where you work or want to work. IGNOU & SYMBOISIS, both have credibility. Now, you look for your convenience.

I wanted to know by which mode should i pursue my Post graduation? which will add more value to my career .
