It is difficult to say, as there are so many Indian social networking websites. Orkut/Linkedin/Facebook already have big member base in Indian market, so the biggest hurdle for an Indian social networking site would be to cross these market leader's member base(India only).

in this period of so called recession, things hv been changed...
networking sites are proved to be the most helpful in terms of supporting individuals who are seeking for support. so Linkedin coming in its big way.

Well, BIGADDA.com is doing pretty well in INIDA, but there are lot of users who still use ORKUT/Facebook. And as said by Saket the biggest hurdle for indian social networking site is Orkut/Facebook who already have big member base in Indian market (I agree with him ).
