As the hospital industry is progressing and we are having more Cooperates in Healthcare, we have also seen an increase in the trends of outsourcing the ward staff. While the Private and the Cooperate Hospitals do Train them and update them on the Precautions to be taken during their work with Patient, but on Accidental Infections like Needle stick Injuries and Splash and Spill Cleaning Protcols which may lead to serious exposure to Infectious Diseases who is Responsible to Protect them or Help them to recover from the disease.......
Who monitors them?
Who finances them?
Who takes care of these workers?
The cooperates will defy saying that they do not fall into their permanent employee category the vendor will deny saying they got injuried during duty why should i pay for them?
does our Govenment have any Laws for protecting these employeees?
Normally, in corporate hospitals the outsourced ward staff are used for housekeeping and other general works. During accidents or infectious diseases, trained and qualified nurses will take care of them, under the Doctors supervision. Ward staff are not allowed to do it under any circumstances. Having worked in a Corporate Hospital, I can tell you this confidently.

I totally agree with Dr... Idea, we cannot loose the Bases for which the Healthcare industry stands on.........Healthcare is all about taking "care" of the Patients. Taking care of the Patient is not about his illness alone; taking care requires us to... |
