Women prefer real crime stories based on rape and murder -- more so than men, says a new study.Women, compared to men, have a heightened fear of crime despite the fact that they are less likely to become a victim.
I do not agree with the comment Anant. I am sure women do not want to revisit what the horror of a victim in rape and murder does.... Its ghastly to even think of a situation.
The study has to be based on some situations for the researchers to reaach a conclusion like this. Most rape murder stories have found there way to the cinema screens and the rn esult of these stories has been the win for the protagonist. The thrill of sending the crrimial in prison or meting some sort of punishment can surely help resstore womens faith in law and it may give an sdrenaline surge to some women. Itsd actually a high to see the criminal being punished and hence maybe the real crime stories are preferred more than fictional stories.
