Many a times as teachers ( including me) fail to know the learning style of the students. Either we assume about his needs or think that his mind is a black box and do not bother about it. We need to understand only the inputs and output like the behaviorism assumptions. There are fifty learning theories and varied learning strategies are suggested and developed. However, to my dismay i found most of the schools and colleges go by the behaviorist assumptions. i wish my question is answered.
You are right Neerav. However, it is not impossible. Enough tools are available such as Felder, MB PIetc that can be used by teachers without much efforts. What is needed a passionate effort on the part of educationalists to work towards this goal of finding the learning preferences and designing the learning inputs for students. I used to see brilliant students failing to attain good academic records just because of the apathy.
You are absolutely right for that but in a populated country like ours it’s not possible to focus on each and every child and to know the basic tactics to teach them individually.
You are right about the fact that many talents got diverted in disgusting field for them. But at this time we don’t have a solution for that may be after some years when our country will get quite developed to spare some time and funds on education.
