Most of the media driven people are very keen on getting in front of the camera, without knowing what is their expected role, secondly, it is worse than the fish market so to say when it comes to time slot that need to be booked well in advance. as mentioned by shishir mishra they still don't get the web. It is more glamourised, and still expects people to follow with what ever they cover with lots of superlatives and hype with no real meat in it. no wonder they are still in the idiot box and not coming out of it.

Simple, Because they still don’t get the web. They don’t get that the changes taking place are profound and irreversible. News media is not used to losing control, but that is what is happening right now. It is their arrogance and fear that bloggers an the like will threaten their so called quality standards. The opposite is true. Citizen journalism is the long tail of a democratic media system. It is part of the solution for old media to survive in a fast paced media landscape that is dominated by Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and telcos. Citizen Journalim is an ally, not an enemy.

This is the only reason. Could you embrace CJ minus glamor?
