After the success of mydala, snapdeal, koovs, wanamo still several articles are updating every week stating Indian group buying portals are just a piece of clone and won’t be worthful stating reason for this “groupon clone”, “Indian market not same as US market”.

If I just repeat some of there comments then we’ll get to know they are themselves confused.

Market Stage: Chicken or Egg? Still nascent stage, but already crowded – too many chickens and too any eggs. ”

” Known group buying websites in India: 7, Estimated: 10
Average Transaction Size offered:  Rs. 500 (80% of them are under Rs.400)
Average Successful Coupons sold: 50 (as claimed)
Current Cities Catered: 4 (Top Metros only)

Total Market Size: 10,00,000 INR per day = 1 Million INR per day
Thats a kewl: 365 Million INR per year or 7.3 Million USD per year

These numbers are assuming that all ten Group Buying services see 50 Transactions per day in all 4 Metros. This was the analysis starts…”

After giving monetary review also by themselves still they say its worthless.  Just for the sake of high hitting of their blog they are continuously repeating the same topic by just changing the statement every time  ”  What will be the future of online group buying in india ” , ” Will Groupon clone work”.

They should understand none of us even these bloggers were aware of online group buying model only after the success of mydala & wanamo we came to know what is this and after one person stated it’s a groupon clone bloggers just got another point to copy without understanding this fact that 99% of Indian internet users first saw mydala, wanamo than groupon.  Even Aamir Khan movie Ghazini was also remake of Tamil film Ghajini with slight changes but still it worked very well than why not these Group Buying Portals.

Next week another portal 30sunday.com is launching it would be first Indian group buying tracker portal whose reach would be 22 cities and strength 65 deals at one time. Lets see how many bloggers will say its also a copycat of “..” , “..” and its also worthless.
