Around Rs.12 crore in cash and nearly 100 kg of gold were found from Yajur Mandir, the personal chamber of late spiritual guru Sathya Sai Baba, at Prashanti Nilayam in Puttaparthi of Anantapur district.
A true saint or guru never hoards money or valuable possessions. His life is meant for others. Now look at these modern gurus. All of them are chasing after money and power.Media also can play a vital role by not highlighting their trivial activities.
Seema, you wont get many answers to this simple question, i gurantee.
and Where is my friend Ardhendu,??? Last time i asked in a debate "Puttaparthi Sai Baba has assets worth more than 33,000 Cr would you still call him a baba" after some time Mr. Murthy remarks in the same debate that i should get the facts right as he does not sell medicines. Now i have the same question again?? shall we call him a BABA??? As there is lot of hue and cry about the assets of Baba Ramdev who sleeps on floor with an asset of 1177 Cr and sells medicines too. Who is Baba and Who is not Baba???? What are the requirements for being a Baba? No Personal offences on anyone but i am also shocked how can a person sleep with 98 kg gold 350 kg silver and 12 crore cash in his room.
With best regards,
Gurleen
Born as Sathyanarayana Raju he claimed to be – and his followers believed him to be – the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba a spiritual saint. He drew followers predominantly from the upper middle and high class, the urban sections of society who have the "most wealth, education and exposure to Western ideas. I dont see any wrong in accepting money by donations however earning money by selling medicine should also not be a point for criticism. All of us earn money either by selling medicines in business or job to run our family. It was only Mahatma Gandhi who thought to serve the Indian society without money and i consider him the real baba or saint or god. He didn't required High class followers to spread his words, his followers were of all class and even the British people.
Satya Sai used to receive donations from all corners of the world. He channeled this money for different public welfare programmes. Multi speciality hospital, Educational facilities (Schools, colleges and University even), Drinking water schemes in different districts of Andhra Pradesh. The trust members are the most untrustworthy people. Except Mr. Bhagawati all are seems to be big scoundrels. They dont want transparency to prevail. This attitude of the trust members is giving wrong signals to the outer world. I dont know the definition of Baba anyway. We need not call him as god. But, he is above the man (Humane) undoubtedly. One need not tag me as his devotee ofcourse Im not. But, as far as Ram Dev Baba I have different opinion. He is neither Godman or he-man. He has his own hidden agenda and Yoga is a tool for him to get publicity and he got it.
I offer my explanation. I will try to differentiate between Satya Sai Baba and Ramdev, to the best of my knowledge. No doubt both of them have lots of money.
Satya Sai did not sell medicines and made profits. It is the donations from public, most of them being foreigners. He establsihed a super speciality hospital at Puttaparthi, where poor people are treated free of cost. He established educational institutions on no profit basis. He provided drinking water facility by spending crores of rupees to drought prone districts in AP (which the government could not do since independence) He provided drinking water facility to Chennai. These are the facts I know.
Ramdev, on the other hand, sold medicines. He speaks about Black Money and never helped any poor community as far as I know.
A comparison between two unequals is not proper, according to me.
Satya Sai haters or Ramdev disciples may pounce upon me for writing this. If somebody donates you Rs.100 crores, tax free, do you buy gold, vehicles and houses and set up profit making business or serve the poor. Choice is yours.
As Miss. Kaur questioned!! same question comes in mind as well!! but if we look at the other side then we should also think .....where this money comes from?? of course from us! ...so, why we offer that money?? ...for the development of the temple or ashram...for providing facilities like food and accommodation to us.
Finally i have no questions or surprises after knowing that they have millions and billion of rupees with them. But what i really like to see is who is controlling this wealth? rather than BABA's team.

It is dedication to the Lord that sanctifies all activities. He is the prompter, executor, the giver of the required strength and skill, and the one who enjoys the fruit thereof. |
To cut costs and decrease expenditure across several companies they may lay off some top executives which is very hard to exceaptable. |
Though we are not a corruption free country nor are we that developed, we do have a very strong cultural and traditional values blended with umpteen ethical values which makes us distinct, stupendous and one of the best societies to live in.... |
