Although it seems a new beginning for US and the Muslim world. But I doubt that whether there would be a real change in America’s attitude. The difference I found from Obama speech that He is ready to listen to others where Bush’s approach was arrogant.
But when you read between the lines after hearing what Obama said, one can easily see that there is not going to be a major change in America’s foreign policy.
My question to your question is do you think that Obama was sincere in his speech or do you think the Egyptians believe him? At least in those parts of the world you don't makes jokes. Obama is not god he is an ordinary human being who just attained very high power and the USA is consider the most powerful country in the world. He is trying to make a difference let's hope it don't backfire. It is still left to be seen what good will come out of that talk.
So far, Obama's only notable departure from former president George bush is his firmer public pressure on Israel to halt settlement-building. Bush frequently stated support for a construction freeze, but was considered more accommodating of Israel in private. It helped convince many Muslims that the U.S. was biased toward Israel. Obama hopes to restore America's image as an honest broker.
