Practical Ways of Marrying the Lean and Agile Paradigms As we have indicated, there are a number of common elements between the lean and agile paradigms. Provided the whole concept is fully thought through and properly managed, lean and agile businesses can co-exist, even when on the same site and with some limited rotation of personnel. Here are three proven ways in which the paradigms have been brought together to provide available and affordable products for the end customer. The Pareto Curve Approach Many companies manufacturing or distributing a range of products will find that the Pareto Law will apply and can be exploited to determine supply strategy. Lets admit that we all are the victims of workplace hostility. We all fight the situation try to overcome it................ Experiencing feelings of inadequacy in your present job when you were a constant performer in your previous employment could mean that you are dealing with workplace hostility. To know how to resolve conflicts at work (no matter how deeply-rooted they are), you have to understand the problem right at its very root. Workplace hostility is defined as a place where you have to constan...

Very true Mridula...I agree with you. One of the important things that is likely to hold us back from making a quantum leap forward and exploring this new frontier of Agile Manufacturing, is the baggage of our traditions, conventions and our accepted...

People often describe Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) as a technology. It is more appropriately described as a strategy for making companies more innovative and productive by applying a number of technologies. A few years ago, it became apparent that manufacturing companies needed technology to capture essential data, usually embodied in engineering activities and documentation, to make it available when required to those who needed it, and still to keep it se...
