Hi friends, I feel the government should offer more incentives to the domestic auto industry and encourage foreign investment in the sector. The automotive industry in several developing countries were growing fast with the assistance of their respective governments. Even we should get such benefits from our government. There has to be an appropriate tariff policy in the country to safeguard the domestic auto industry from surge in imports and to develop adequate indigenous manufacturing base. Still India remain a small player in the world automotive market with a share of around 3 percent in the production of passenger cars and commercial vehicles (compared to China's 12 percent) and a sha...

well, in my way we should also hone our engineerin and technial kills, LOCALISATION OF IMPORTED parts should be done at war pace, then only true cost cutting be achieved
Vinod Kumar Khanna  |  Commented  |  3 years ago
Ya government has to do much because right now India is a small player in a big automotive market with just 3% share in global production.

Merc or BMW are made for Indians ? Rolls ? But, some indians are using them better than else where. Good will be displayed in the show rooms or malls. If you want you buy it or be a window shopper. It's customer choice, merchant's opportunity.

I don't think so. By seeing their price, I can definitely say, it cannot be afforded by Indian middle class customers. Also, these bikes won't be able to sustain Indian extreme conditions...

Such bikes in India are owned by only those who want to show off and nothing else. They can't enjoy the fun attached with these bikes. Indian roads are not meant for these bikes. Also the rules does not allow them to go beyond a certain limit.

why? Motorbikes are made for racing, and racing needs as much speed as possible. Does not make any sense to me at all. My answer is no, I dont think its justified at all.
Ramakrishna Ganji  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  3 years ago
Yes, this race for speed was generating a lot of wastage of resources and also this was giving the anti-social elements of the society a chance to get ahead in their wrong doings, so I think is is a good decision.

The ' Struggle Of The Fittest '  idea is still dominating the Human Intellect. May it be social, geographical or any ecologiacl environment, there is struggle for existence and survivorship, and our business environment is not new to this idea.  History has proven that thsoe organizations which were able to adapt the consumer markets, those who struggled across diverse set of segments  has flourished successfully, irrespective of the nature of organization, whwether big or small. I won't confuse you so much. Here let me take an example of Autodealers.
