(ITW) is a diversified manufacturing company with nearly 100 years of history delivering specialized expertise, innovative thinking and value-added products to meet critical customer needs in a variety of industries. ITW has approximately 840 decentralized business units in 57 countries that employ approximately 59,000 women and men. ITW India Ltd is a subsidiary of ITW and ITW is the leading Industrial Packaging solutions provider. ITW has decided to implement a Plate Yard Management System to automate and optimally manage the coil movement throughout the manufacturing cycle. Plate Yard Management System deals with management of raw material to improve performance of the plant. It involves tracking and handling of slabs outside as well inside plant to meet the clients requirements. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT: Involved in developing the PDA version of the application. Project#1 Project Title : Slab Mamagement System work place Pablo Honey consultancy Pvt Lmt Team Size 3 Role Project Developer Environment windows xp , Visual Studio Application Language C# Description : ITW has decided to implement a Slab Management System to automate and optimally manage the Slab movement throughout the manufacturing cycle. Slab Management System deals with management of raw material to improve performance of the plant. It involves tracking and handling of slabs outside as well inside plant to meet the clients requirements. This system is designed to handle slabs at a steel plant in Gujarat. The objective of the system is to ensure that slabs get charged heat wise as per the schedule/campaign released by PPC and Operations. Slabs being used in the plant are brought from outside i.e. port or railway sliding. Therefore, the tracking of the material has to start from the port end. At present, the system would be supporting only the activities at one port, which would be extended in the future to cover the activities at other ports and railway sliding. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT: Involved in developing the PDA version of the application. PROJECT#2 Project Title : Arab Idol work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Project Developer Environment windows xp Application Language Java , Android Description : This is similar to the arab idol where in the people can record there songs. They can check the ratings and commnets. PROJECT#3 Project Title : M-Chat work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Sr. Deveper Environment windows xp Application Language Java Description : M-chat allows users to simultaneously login into yahoo, msn, G Talk. The users can send messages, add friends, send add friend request and receive messages. The messages will be displayed on users mobile. PROJECT#4 Project Title : TV Guide work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Project Developer (Worked on GUI) Environment windows xp Application Language Java (Technologies Used : j2me) Description : TV Guide , is a Mobile service where in you can see the list of program of many International TV channels like (American Plus , Discovery .. etc ) schedules on their mobiles.This application was targetted for most of the mobiles like Nokia , Samsung , Blackberry. PROJECT#5 Project Title : Mobile Backup work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Project Developer (Worked on GUI) Environment windows xp Application Language Java (Technologies Used : j2me , Fire 1.2) Description : Mobile Backup project helps the user to store all his personal details like Contacts, Reminders, Events, Gallery and Photos. Once the application is installed in the mobile the data will automatically will be stored on the secure server on daily, weekly or monthly basis depending on the user interest.This application was targetted for most of the mobiles like Nokia , Samsung , Blackberry. PROJECT#6 Project Title : Ball Game work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Project Developer (Worked on Movement of Main Ball) Environment windows xp Application Language Java (Technologies Used : j2me) Description : This is like a simple Ping Ball game where the player has to clear all the balls coming down. There are 3 levels in this game Easy, Medium and Hard. The game will be finished once all the ping balls are finished.This application was targetted for most of the mobiles like Nokia , Samsung , Blackberry. PROJECT#7 Project Title : Smile TV work place Mag Web Team Size 4 Role Project Developer (Worked on GUI part and video streaming) Environment windows xp Application Language Java (Technologies Used : jmf) Description : This project has been developed for Smile TV channel in Egypt. In this project we are providing the facilities such as sending messages through mobile to TV , users can also send mms messages . Some important messages are considered as VIP. The users are also free to broadcast webcam. I think the article only describes about how blue tooth is used there is nothing about programing as a j2me programmer i would have been more pleased if the article could have contained how blue tooth . But this article gives me inner details of it for...
yes i do belive it because the c# is very much similar to java.The exception handling and most of the concepts are similar in C# and java.I believe that any one having a knowledge in c and java can learn any language easily.
