'THIS IS A MAIL WHICH I HAD RECEIVED EARLIER. JUST FELT THAT I SHOULD SHARE IT. TAKE SOME TIME OUT TO READ THIS MAIL. MAY BE IT WILL BE HELPFUL.'   An excellent article to read and enjoy.   It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule. Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results..   Therefore, we have come t!o posses a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate...

A Beautiful Story I came across on Time Management and Setting Priorities. A professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2' diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full? They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. The students laughed. He asked his students again if the jar was full? They agreed that yes,it was. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the...
