I would also say that its not right to give trial pair as free pair because then customers will take the shopkeepers for granted as they will know that just for trying they are getting a pair of lenses for free.

I do not think giving Discounts is a good strategy..in short term it may increase revenues...but in long term it will affect the brand value..customer doubts if the product was worth the price it was paid before the discount was offered..
