Forwarding and Unloading of liquid fuels in line with safety codes OHSMS, ISO 9001, and ISO 18000 procedure: HSD Fuel Storage, FO Fuel Storage, and Naphtha Fuel Storage [in floating roof tanks]. Relay Ladder Logic, control and understand manpower, Work Circulation, Shift Operations etc. 2 Nos. HRSGs O and M through FUJI DCS, 01 No FBC Boiler Operation through PLC based control system. 01 No. Naphtha fired 37.5 TPH Boiler, 01 No. 37.5 TPH FO Fired Boiler, 20 TPH Agri Waste Based CVL make FBC Boiler. [Compiled the data of Biomass Based FBC Boiler for registration as a CDM project]. 6.5 MW capacity STG of BHEL make through WOODWARD control system. Operation of 66 KV switchyard through remote synchronizing SCADA panel. Suggestion offered: Incorporation of Instrument Air Line into the header of Pulsation Air Compressor Discharge Header. Steam Turbine Tripping from Generator Winding Temperature High High because it was incorporated in the protection loop which was removed and made the arrangement so that only generator breaker will trip in case of Generator winding temperature high high. This has given more availability of Steam Turbine. Earlier, steam turbine was also getting tripped whenever generator winding temperature high high emerged. Raised the DROOP Setpoint from 6% to 8%, resultant steam turbine HP and LP governing valve fluctuations drastically reduced while operating in synchronization with grid. This has reduced trippings of Steam Turbine while operating with Grid and attributed more availability of STG. Commissioning done of FM Boiler over Gas Fuel. Earlier, it was operating over Furnace Oil. During this activity, Furnace Purging Time reduced from 300 Seconds to 180 Seconds. Due to this during emergency, Quick Loading of FM Boiler has been enabled. At Cooling Tower, Induced Draft Fans were of Aluminum Alloy, the same replaced by FRP Fans and achieved 40% auxiliary energy reduction for the CTID Fans. And this attributed high amount of financial benefit in addition to low vibration and thus reduction in maintenance costs too. Modification in CTP (lower capacity) led to a power saving of approx. 1400 unit per day. The Spare CPH was utilized for heating the Feedwater of FBC Process Steam Boiler, which attributed savings of 7000 Kg of fuel (DOC) per day. Out of Four, two BFPs were being utilized for feeding feedwater to 2 Nos HRSGs and One FM Boiler. Revision the set point of autostart of BFP, provided the luxury of feeding both the HRSGs and FM Boiler with only one BFP without any adverse effect over motor. Modification of Instrument Air Compressor leading to power savings of 65,000 units per year. Reduced the diameter of motor pulley from 12 to 10 of instrument air compressors and yearly achieved the auxiliary power consumption reduction to the tune of 41MW. | ||
