Role: Project Leader, 2002; Project Leader (FMCG sector) 1998 onward; Core Team member, prior to 1998 Results: Authored India Market Demographics Report 2002. The book presents a macro view of the Indian consumer market through analyses of time series information from MISH rounds. - Lead Data analyses and production of detailed Reports for 30 odd FMCG products, MISH1998 onward. - Lead data analysis and presentation of The Income - Occupation White Book, 2000 and 1998. Adopted small-area estimation techniques extensively. An extensive spreadsheet analysis. It presents Indian consumer earnings and professional demographics - a complete mapping of urban/rural India providing a thorough classification of consumers than ever before. - Significantly contributed (data analysis and presentation) to NCAER - 10 Year White Book, The Indian Consumer Market, 1997-2007, (1998). Did projections/forecasting of market size for 12 durable products and income distributions for different levels of granulation. - Data analyses and part draft for India Market Demographics Report 1998 - Data analyses for Indian Market Demographics - The Consumer Classes, 1996 - Data analyses and production of detailed Product Reports (# ~ 60) for each round of MISH. Extensively used by the consumer industry. MISH is the largest household consumption survey in India covering 300,000 households spread over 2500 locations across the country requiring a mammoth field force of about 650 personnel for primary data collection. 2. Evaluation of RBIs KCC Scheme, 2003 Role: Analytical/Technical advice to the team. Project negotiation; planning; survey design; questionnaire design; sampling; advise on data collection, processing and analytics. 3. Evaluation of Energy Parks in India, 2001 Objective: Evaluation of awareness, functionality, management and sustainability of Energy Parks in the states of Maharashtra, M.P. and A.P. Role: Project Leader Result: Policy recommendations accepted and adopted by the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES), GoI. 4. Impact Evaluation of Operation Flood Programme (OFP) , 1996 Objective: Evaluation the impact of NDDBs OFP on the dairy sector in the country. Role: Co-Project Lead (project negotiation; planning; survey design; sampling; questionnaire design; field work; data collection, processing and analytics; report writing) Result: Policy recommendations accepted and adopted by NDDB. - Co-authored book Impact Evaluation of Operation Flood on the Rural Dairy Sector , 1999. 5. Rural Mechanisation - Potential and Constraints, 1992 Objective: Evaluation of current scenario and future prospects. Projecting demand for farm tractors. Role: Analytics Result: Econometric modeling for tractor demand forecasting for 6 major states and India. - Recommendations accepted and adopted by Escorts India Ltd. 6. Monitoring Changes in a Developmental Programme, 1991 Objective: Propose a practicable methodology for Monitoring Changes in the Dairy Sector. (OFP). Role: Computer programming and Analytics Result: Simulation study carried out using a Baseline database. - Proposed survey-based monitoring methodology adopted by NDDB. Other Projects 7.
