ALKYLATION unit utilizes Exxon Mobils Stirred Auto Refrigerated Sulphuric acid Alkylation process, using liquid H2SO4 as a catalyst. Also DIOS unit where Di-olefin saturated to mono-olefin. There is two supporting unit one is Hydrogen once through process BUTAMER (Capacity: 42 KBPSD) where normal Butane is converted to isobutene -UOP is licensor. Another is SAR (Sulfuric Acid Regeneration Unit- Capacity: 1000MTPD) where spent acid is regenerated - MECS is licensor. Alkylation complex converts C4 hydrocarbons (LPG) into octane rich C8 iso-paraffins. Product is Octane booster for gasoline. Designation: Shift Superintendant-Production/Process/Project (Manager). Job responsibility: Pre-commissioning and commissioning of utilities like LP/HP/MP steam blowing and charging ,LP condensate, Boiler feed water, process/plant air, instrument air, nitrogen potable water cooling water, desalinated water, fuel gas, light slop ,heavy slop, storm water, oily water sewer, hydrogen etc successfully. Familiar with pre commissioning activities of Alkylation unit like P and IDs and Isometric review, ESD review, system files preparation Knowledge of DCS (Invensys), Process upset and safe handling of emergency.
