How to end Corruption in India. If one checks history we see every developed country was replete with it its metamorphosis. If one take time to read the book “Extreme delusions and Madness of the crowd” by John Mckay one finds, France, Britain, Netherlands which are corruption free now, once was plagued by it. From the stories one find that ‘get rich quick’ behaviour prevailed then and the main cause of it can be attributed to low living standards accorded by the economy. So to prevent corruption in India, the solution may not be easy and faster, the economy need to grow to an extent where the ‘wealth of the nation improve’ along with the ‘living standards’ of the citizen improve. The econo...

This is a very crucial report...I felt literally crying that what are we doing to ourselves.... More than $ 125 billion worth of funds meant for the uplift of Indians were illegally siphoned out of the country by corrupt politicians and corporates between 2000 and 2008, hindering inclusive growth, says a leading think tank here. 'Much of the funds flowing out are generated at home within India and then sent illegally abroad,' said an upcoming report from Global Financial Integrity (GFI). 'So the growth of corruption and India's underground economy contributes significantly to illicit financial flows from the country,' said the research arm of the Centre for International Policy (CIP). 'Co...

Some would suggest “Power corrupts”. One view is that the drastic changes in social and moral norms along with the ever mounting rise in consumerism as well as competition is a natural corollary to adopting corrupt tendencies by most and sundry in order to stay ahead in the rat race. Other viewpoint is that often there exists temptation to gain rapidly and conveniently using insidiously corrupt ways plus means within the human physic or mind. That is to say that this is a proclivity or natural tendency of human. Does rise of corruption and arguably its invidious acceptability has something to do with lack of moral education? Is convenience of getting things done (overriding the incon...
