Came across this beautiful story and wanted to share it with you all. Brilliant insight into the way we live our lives! One day I hopped into a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call 'The ...

Good article...however, we need to dump the garbage some where. What will happen if we don't get rid of it? The bottom line is you must dispose of the garbage in the right manner. Just don't dump it anywhere.

There is something different that we see everytime at our workplace on a regular basis, and there are many workplaces where we see people usually listening to music with their earphones on while they are doing their work, and many cases people will be pretending to listen music but then they will be secretly listening to the conversations of their co-workers that they are having, as I myself had personally experienced when one of my co-worker was doing this, and really felt very much annoyed by the whole incident, and when asked actually he confronted that he was doing it for many days like this, and he was obsessed to hear other people's conversations but pretending not to. A serious case ...

when music streaming is diverted to ears after slogging at work at periodic intervals , it increases efficiency & effeciveness...what matters is output and not whether an employee mixes music with work...or otherwise

V.G.Siddhartha's family comes from Chikmagalur in Karnataka, and has grown coffee for generations. Siddhartha studied commerce in Bangalore and while doing his Masters in Mysore, left his studies midway and took a bus to Mumbai. There, in a departure from the family occupation of growing coffee, he started trading in stocks and made money, and got drawn to the world of investment in a big way. Eventually, he returned to the family business but was not happy with the size of their ambition. He wanted to make it really big. Over the years, the cultivation grew from a few hundred acres to 10,000 acres! The reason for the growth was partly drievn by his desire to increase the cultivation, but i...

The base of the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt was, according to most estimates, built sometime between 2589 and 2566 BC. According to the great Bible chronologists of history, like H. H. Halley (Halley's Bible Handbook) Archbishop Ussher (Ussher's Chronology) and Clarence Larkin, that means that the Great Pyramid was built about two hundred years BEFORE the Flood. (The Flood occurred somewhere between 2348 and 2004 BC. BC time counts backwards towards zero). According to Clarence Larkin, the Great Pyramid covers roughly thirteen acres, but that is the only 'rough' measurement one can apply to it. Other than that, it was constructed with a level of precision that is beyond the capabilitie...

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation: Dear Son, I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over.. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison. Love, Dad Shortly, the old man received this telegram: For Heaven's sake, Dad,don't dig up the garden!! That's whe...

The Indian government on its part has been increasing the outlays for biotechnology over the past decade. The budgetary allocations have gone up by a tremendous amount from just 404 million in 1987-88 to 1138 million in 1997-98 and to almost double the amount of a whopping 2356 million in 2002-03. The center is also planning to introduce additional venture capital funds in line with its technology development fund (TDF) to promote small and medium biotech enterprises. The investment opportunities in India are very promising. Fresh investments of 145 mn hold the potential of creating a turnover of Rs. 200 mn. in the next 5 to 7 years, which could then further be utilized to innovate new prod...

An attempt to answer common myths about copyright seen on the net and cover issues related to copyright and USENET/Internet publication. - by Brad Templeton Note that this is an essay about copyright myths . It assumes you know at least what copyright is -- basically the legal exclusive right of the author of a creative work to control the copying of that work. 1) 'If it doesn't have a copyright notice, it's not copyrighted.' This was true in the past, but today almost all major nations follow the Berne copyright convention. For example, in the USA, almost everything created privately and originally after April 1, 1989 is copyrighted and protected whether it has a notice or not. The default...
