Micro Managing! Everybody must have heard about this and if you ask anybody they would say no not me I don’t do such things. Well Think Again! Micromanaging in India is becoming quite rampant and the worst part is team leaders and management fail to see the signs. Let’s take a case for instance which I am quite familiar with. Due to the ongoing recession and year of no work Larry recently joined a startup firm out of desperation and 1 year sabbatical of no work. He put his heart and soul into this product that the company was building. During those beginning years the client was very close to his team of designers during work. It was more like hovering over each every pixel and toilets brea...

Micro mangaging if done more will give you bad results, one needs his own space when he is working and constant reminding him things will make the situation more complicated and will surely backfire, so the preventive measures and the causes that...

Alexander Lewis  |  Answered  |  2 years ago

AYURVEDA` the science of life which is the natural healing system to mankind. Ayurveda originated as part of `Vedic science`. Ayurveda includes herbal medicine, Dietetics, body work, surgery, psychology and spirituality. `AYU` means life 'VEDA' means science, so literally 'AYURVEDA' means science of life. AYURVEDA is part of a new movement towards a global medicine that includes the best developments in the medicines of all lands of all the system. Ayurveda is probably the best point of synthesis for such a global medicine. One is impressed by the vast conceptual canvas and framework of Ayurveda. It is important to realize that Ayurveda is not confined to medicine only. The emphasis on the ...

I do agree here that Ayurveda has really come of age in recent times, many of them are considering ayurveda than the conventional form of medicine which is prescribed by the doctors. But Ayurveda has the capability of removing the disease from the...

In one line, a project manager need to provide a good leadership for any project to be accomplished. A good leadership can only be provided by a leader who has skills of every subject that is under his purview. Thus a project manager need to be...

I agree with balakrishna here that most of the project managers juggle with both administrative and technical thing, but if he is good at administrative and good at getting the job done, he should skick to that and make sure that the technical team...
Anirban Bhattacharya  |  Argues in support of  " Both"  |  3 years ago
By default a project manager should handle all administrative part. But monitoring and control is so intricate part of a project, that if not handles properly, a project is bound to fail here.   Practically if a PM wants to be a sucessful PM, he...

I'm a big fan of lists. Heck - show me a project manager who isn't a fan of lists! I'm especially fond of lists that explain how not to do something. This way, I feel as though I'm learning from the expensively-gained experience of others. The list isn't meant to be exhaustive and isn't meant to be in order, but I hope this list proves useful to someone, somewhere: Mistake #1:Keep the team and the stakeholders apart #2: Communicate infrequently #3: Save all your testing until the last minute #4: Don't tell a client when they're wrong #5: Put the client on the critical path without telling them #6: Focus on contracts not collaboration #7: Mix your methodologies #8: Just get on with it and ne...

Debashis Gupta  |  Added idea  "Focus on renewals"  |  3 years ago
While 'making a stand' is of course important, as new business remains the topmost priority of PLIs, a focus on renewals is also needed if they have to survive the downturns and deepen their bonds with the customers.  See my separate post under...

It also depends on what consumer preferences are. Suppose in a region like South of India there Pizza can go well with Sambhar(which is part of their normal dietary) but the same thing will not work in North of India. It is just because of the...

V. Srinivas  |  Added idea  "Identify first the Scope Creep"  |  2 years ago
