Manager-Purchase Company profile: Rexam has operations worldwide and with key expertise in plastic injection and high-speed automated assembly, Rexam produces drug delivery and medical devices, metering pumps and valves, pharma primary packaging and diagnostic disposables Roles and Responsibilities: My role at Rexam includes Handling the Procurement activity and logistics-Involves Raw material (Resin), Master batches, Liners, Capital Items, Indirect materials at Macro level. Monitoring the performance of suppliers in terms of Quality, Delivery and Cost and Working towards the annual price reduction targets. Handling sub contracting activities related to mould and accessories development. Working towards 100% ON TIME IN FULL (OTIF) and ensuring OEE of machines by maintaining optimum inventory is my KPI. New initiatives in REXAM: Creation of a centralized purchase department, raw material and finished goods warehouse. Played an active part in creation of class 8, 1000 metre square clean room manufacturing facility green field project. Savings of 2400 TINR Mar-08 to March 2010 on Tools refurbishment and consumables cost. A long term strategy to have all compliance records required as per pharma guidelines /regulated market for Resin procurement. i.e. IS-9833-1981, EU resolution AP (89) I, 21CFR @ 177.1520 (olefin polymers), 21CFR @ 178.3860.
