Product : Hitachi, NetApp and Sun Storage and EMC Networker Role : Track Lead Completed successful Transition for Storage and Backup Track Project : UTi World wide Inc. Product : EMC Symmetrix,Clariion,HP EVA,NetApp and EMC Networker Role : Track Lead Completed successful DD and Transition for Storage and Backup Track for US region and Singapore new datacenter implementation. Responsibility: Storage and Backup Storage Administration to the clients across the globe. Configuring SAN Zoning and space allocation. Closely monitoring of Process / procedures followed in the team and implementing the changes for better performance. Work directly with and field engineers resolving hardware and software issues via remotely, globally dispatch field Engineers to resolve technical problems that require on site maintenance. Intervene on case escalations for which the storage boxes have called home with errors that require immediate technical support. No schedule deviation beyond norms, Configuration Management, Inputs to status reports to customers. Training and guide new employees about on job procedures and required policies, achieving company service goals within a fast paced, team orientated environment. Responsibility of escalations and handle them with utmost priority. Managing onsite spares from different vendors and as well clients spares. Report generation like Run way report to understand about Data center Space, Power and Cooling utilization Handle EMC, IBM and HP Storage boxes Configuration and space allocation. Close monitoring on tickets to ensure their closures within the SLA Monitoring and Performing Backup jobs as per the schedule. Trouble-shooting the backup failure issues. Management of Tape Media through LBS. Configuration of new Clients added to current Data zones as per requirement. Up gradation of Networker versions at Server and Client level. Handling all L1 and L2 level requests for EMC NetWorker along with maintaining SLA. Configuring Online Database and Mail Servers backup which include Oracle, MS SQL and MS Exchange and backups for VMware machines through VCB. Performing Data Restoration activities whenever required. Performing Backup and Recovery Process for all the business critical data of in-house clients projects as per Companys Backup Policy. Tape Library and Media management (retention and recycling of backup tapes). | ||
