Yes one can do that, just to retain the customer or to remain them loyal towards you...but then it will be more so difficult to change the price as the customers would have adjusted to the lower prices and when there is an increase people wont remain...
Yes before a 100$ Investment for them in outsourcing they were saving 35-40$ as India was giving them tax exemption, but now Obama is restoring the jobs where he is asking the tax from those companies which are outsourcing...and in US a 1 hr sitting...
With 3G coming to India in 2009, I think Research and development spending will be on 4G technology, by which video conferencing will be possible due to high bandwidth as much as 100Mbps...
