First an interesting fact : Youtube,before it became so famous video sharing platform was actually a dating site! When we post videos on youtube some of them are a bit shaky and give the viewers a hard time. Youtube has found an answer to this and now they can fix it for us. Panasonic has a line of rugged computers. The trademark name is tough book. As the name indicates they are tough. Toough books are designed to withstand vibrations, droping, spills, extreme temretures and rough handling. Basicaly it was designed for military uses, law enforcement and heavy industrial purposes. It is available to common people as well but the cost is kind of shocking and so we might not opt for it. Over 500 tests and quality checks are performed on tough books before dispatch. Case is made out of magneium alloy. Current models also have LCD display. The price range starts from a lakh for semi rugged modles and increases accordingly!! Tough isn't it? Sources : Wikipedia

these are known in military parlance as 'rugged' systems that can take a lot of mis-handling, accidental dropping (from a reasonable height of course), damping etc. they are tested for the same. but that does not mean that you drop it...
