Panasonic has a line of rugged computers. The trademark name is tough book. As the name indicates they are tough. Toough books are designed to withstand vibrations, droping, spills, extreme temretures and rough handling. Basicaly it was designed for military uses, law enforcement and heavy industrial purposes. It is available to common people as well but the cost is kind of shocking and so we might not opt for it. Over 500 tests and quality checks are performed on tough books before dispatch. Case is made out of magneium alloy. Current models also have LCD display. The price range starts from a lakh for semi rugged modles and increases accordingly!! Tough isn't it? Sources  : Wikipedia
