Local statutory accounts, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and SOX compliance Advice to business on Controls matters, implementation of Internal Controls as per Group Standards. Liaise for the internal audit of the region. Responsible for Unit Internal Assessments, Controls Systems, and other internal controls tools. Supervise Accounts Payables and review of the Procurement and CAPEX. Evaluation of various suppliers and developing various negotiation strategies for discussion with suppliers and Vendors. Introduced new vendors for various jobs and items. Target substantial cost reduction and saving. Directing, leading and motivating C and FA workforce; imparting continuous on job training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness/ efficiency. Co-ordinate and deliver to the cost saving targets. Treasury and working capital management. Overseeing the maintenance of statutory books of accounts in compliance with the norms. Fixed assets accounting Budgeting, MIS and Reporting Responsible for the Monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and MIS Accounting for monthly accruals and monitoring spend against accruals Preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Fixed Costs and monitoring of Budgets v/s Actuals and devising corrective action plans Preparation of periodical Debtors report and Cash Flow Statements Co-ordinating with functional heads for efficient realization of debtors Analysis of various Capital Expenditure, business case build up Sales Tax/ VAT : Maintaining compliance with CST/ VAT laws of respective states, providing guidance to respective sales tax coordinators at each location. Coordinating with various C and F Agents, CSAs on sales tax issues. Monitoring of monthly sales tax Payments and Reports filing at all locations. Overseeing collection and disbursement of statutory sales tax forms. Managing contingencies like detainment of consignment at check posts manned by Commercial Tax department of respective state. Providing confirmation to various businesses on the applicable VAT rates in different states, availability of VAT credit, requirements of Entry Forms etc. Guiding warehouse management team on optimisation of sales tax/VAT costs. Intimating to all stakeholders of the changes in VAT rates, across locations. Working with consultants on the plan for transition to the proposed GST Service Tax Monitoring service tax payments, reporting and compliances. Ensuring optimum utilisation of the pool of CENVAT Credit with necessary management towards distribution of Credit to manufacturing locations as an `Input Service Distributor set off against output service tax liability etc. Changing the existing practices involving loss of credit and non compliances with service tax laws. Handling service tax litigations for region. Income Tax Design, Develop and Ensure implementation of Direct Tax Policies in region. Management of TDS payment and returns for entire region. Timely issue of TDS certificate to vendors Collections Management: To ensure collections from customers. Managing and establishing terms of payment as well contacting people by phone or letter to inform them of an unpaid account. Monitoring collections and recovery processes, devising and setting up new processes and procedure for improving collections and recovery time. Credit Administration: Appraising proposals and scrutinizing relevant documents / reports before sanctioning / disbursing credits, ensuring compliance with organisational credit policies. Exercising Risk based Supervision; formulating effective debt collection mechanisms and following up with distributors for ensuring timely receipt of money from clients and recovery of bad debts. Business Process Outsourcing Functioning outsourcing leader for Genpact training and managing a FP and A team Finalisation of standard operating procedures for Genpact Training , follow up and quality discussion with Senior leadership Responsible for SOP for payment for Vendors / Supplier / C and Fa / 3P etc. Identification of key users in Genpact and rolling out of the training plan for the same. Risk Evaluation and Control: Managing risk management process; early warning signals, monitoring the process to ensure that it operates effectively in the best interests of the company. Evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in business. Analyzing the balance sheet and evaluating the financial risk by using Debt-Equity Ratio, Interest Coverage Ratio, Debt-Service Coverage Ratio, Return on Equity and bench marking them with the industry standards. Fraud Management: Developing policies/procedure for fraud management and implementation of Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management tool and techniques to manage the same. Claim and Scheme Management Putting financial controls in place and supporting the sales function in driving the business. Responsible for Revenue accounting and Discount management, Playing vital role for appointment of the C and fa and ensure meeting overall business objective. To Provide various schedules to Senior Management including quantitative analysis, commercial decision-making strategy , Profit Margin , Discount Schemes to entire region. Supporting Top Mgt/Business heads in taking pricing decisions and costing of items. Supply Chain Management To ensure optimal stock availability in the Region and management of working capital. Manage inward/outward logistics, and optimize distribution costs. Manage Back office and Supply chain activities including Customer Support Department Activities. Managing the team of 11 C and FAs in 9 states.
