Many of the foreign banks are eying india for their retail presence. The growth is mainly due to growth in economy in india. Indian growth story is in tact hence ther is growing future in banking in india.

Swathi, only some of the financial institutions use such methods, by and large no bank use abusive debt settlement methods. Settlements are to be done  and are being dobe on a win wn sitations only.

People even now prefer to bank with public sector basically due to the in built trust in the institutions developed over years. We should encourace Public sector to grow and not to kill these mighty institutions for some private institutions.
