Syed Fazlullah Khan  |  Argues in support of  |  1 year ago
Rewards Recognition will motivate the staff better than a Salary hike  as entire team knows the reason for such reward
PS Dhingra  |  Argues in support of  "Rewards & Recognition"  |  1 year ago
RECOGNITION is the best form of motivation, as by instinct, any employee would prefer that his/her bosses must give him/her due recognition, treat him/her over and above others, and he/she be treated as an important part of the system. REWARD is...

2 Filler slab in roof
Prince Daniel Paul  |  Added idea  "Precast and Plaswall"  |  4 months ago
Labor costs are high. Cant we use precast ? or new techniques like Plaswall ?
Syed Fazlullah Khan  |  Supported idea  "Filler slab in roof"  |  2 years ago
Idea Sound good as long as the thermocol sandwitched between bottom layer and top of concrete is not subjected to load when the building is occupied with design load. Instead if the same thermocol can be placed on formwork (soffit of slab) and...
Nand Jha  |  Supported idea  "Rat-trap bond wall"  |  3 years ago
I agree with pradeep on this because it gives the same effect of 10" brick wall and the gap which is there it gives good thermal comfort in the house, and also there is 20% less consumption of bricks.....

affordable housing as per my perception is : housing with optimum space, budget, social location, and specification for a family for which the housing is done/proposed. If this defination is followed then it is to my knowledge affordable housing...
Syed Fazlullah Khan  |  Answered  |  2 years ago
I do agree with Srinivas on the affordable = Cost effective and not Low cost houses. If developers can ensure that the Specification / space is not diluted then AFFORDABLE HOMES will become succesful, no matter whether in recession or out of recession.
Srinivas S.Mantrala, PMP  |  Answered  |  2 years ago
The affordable housing should mean that the "Price" for the House/Flat shoud be affordable to the people who can comfortably pay the Money and EMI within their means. The construction should be "Cost effective". But it should not mean "Low Cost...

1 Bad Management
2 Due to lack of two factors. 1- Decisions. 2- Money
Biranchi Narayan Acharya  |  Added idea  "Lack of risk management & evalution of bottlenecks"  |  13 days ago
many project are estimated very casually taking things granted. A time frame is generally made considering volume of work & ignoring ground constraints. That is why most projects fails to be completed on time.
Syed Fazlullah Khan  |  Supported idea  |  2 years ago
I do agree that the primary reason for failure of any Project is Bad Management as Decisions Money (ensuring adequate Cashflow) are part of the management itself.
Rajiv Ranjan Srivastava  |  Supported idea  "Bad Management"  |  3 years ago
Bad management is the core problem for failure of project and all other problems being discussed are the branches of bad management only. Poor management do not allow a systematic process of working with defined responsibilities of parties...
