In my view point, it is linkedin since, I look at professional networking. Linkedin is serious business in my way. Facebook is more popular for casual & co relationship.

I fully agree with Vinay, the target group of the of these two web community is strategically different. In facebook, I found most of the users are students or fresher to the industry, their activity like gaming, blogging, earning some point etc....
