Many 3G cell phones are being launched by different companies. 3G is actually a short form of third generation of mobile phones. 3G phones works in higher bandwidth (frequency used while transmission) of 15-20 MHz. Smart phone are equipped with the 3G technology. There are many smart phones in the market like Apple's iphone, Nokia's N95, Sony Ericsson's W950i, LG's KE850 etc. These entire phones are based upon 3Gtechnology. An average 3G handsets likely to cost Rs 15,000-25,000 in Indian markets The earlier technology 2G enables you to log onto internet connection but the speed creeps. While, with 3G, users will be offered wi...

Yes I think they would do that and certainly if they have got 3G after long auctions and spending a hell amount of money they would definitely do it to protect it.

Limitations of W-CDMA based 3 G Mobile business. 1 ) With W-CDMA based 3G, as the data speed increases the coverage area of the cell become smaller and smaller. For data rates of 2 Mbps and above, a W-CDMA cell can cover only an area of 10 meter radius ie. about 300 sq. meters. Therefore, to provide 2Mbps data connectivity to an Air port terminal of say, 600 meter square (360,000 Sq.Mtr.), there should be 1200 W-CDMA cells. It is impossible to connect these by wireless links in cellular technology and therefore, will have to use Optical Fiber cable connectivity / PON up to the Cell terminal. In this situation the wireless portion of the network is limited to about 10 to 20 meter of th...

After 2.0 its the turn of 3.0 applications, and its been nearly two weeks after submitting the application to Apple, Facebook’s totally revamped a 3.0 application and is live on the App Store. The new application brings a whole lot of new features, making it what may be the most useful application on the App Store. Among the additions are Events, which have frustratingly been omitted from previous versions. Now one will be able to look up where their events are, and you can also respond to them and see which of their friends are attending. One can also post video directly to the site if they have an iPhone 3GS a feature that will likely see the number of videos on Facebook increase dramatic...

The deadlock over the reserve price for third-generation radio frequency auction, vital for services such as video-calling and high-end internet access on mobile phones, was finally resolved on late thursday when the empowered group of ministers (EGoM) headed by finance minister Pranab Mukherjee fixed it at Rs 3,500 crore. This means, any telecom company bidding for India 3G spectrum will have to pay a minimum of Rs 3,500 crore as the auctions will begins at this price. It has also come to notice that Indian government is planning to up the mark of base price of the bidding. The price set by a panel of ministers announced late Thursday is much higher than the price originally proposed by th...

I am back from HAJ 2011. I will be in regular communication with my esteemed contacts, contributors, wellwishers readers and freinds. This week ,i am sharing a latest trend on computer clouding ala remote computing option. The latest trend indicates that it will change the concept of appraisal.assessment and fore4cast ,estimating and what not. i hope readers and all will enjoy this week.s trendsIt's a good thing the rise of cloud computing is essentially unstoppable: New research shows just how much energy companies can save from a migration, even while the same research shows even wider business benefits from cloud computing. A study just published by CSC asked more than 3,600 IT decision makers across eight countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia about how and why their companies migrated to remote computing options. While the top-level findings, especially around green IT, were not surprising, the broad array of benefits businesses accrued from the cloud chart some new...

Dear friends, I am a science fiction writer. I dabble in indian fiancial systems too. Primarily my lure and love for science is more than anything i am interested in. To many science fiction may appear flights of fancy or fantasy. To me it is not so. My science fictions all have science as ingredient with a future speculation/theory. Many science fictions have become realities. Take the case of moon travel. Jules verne foresaw journy to moon and wrote his science fiction "From the earth to the Moon". Arthur C.Clarke wrote about geostationary satellites. Simply put, Science Fiction is science blended with fiction. It requires a special imgaination and scientific bent of mind to come up with a science fiction. A science background is essential to write science fictions as one has to grasp the nuances of science to enlarge on the ideas conceived. Science fiction has come to be accepted as a literature by itself. It is dubbed as a literurate ideas with current...

My salutes to Mr Narayana Murthy and Mr Mashelkar! Today in Economic Times the brain storming article having same heading made me really excited and highly hopeful towards future of application of researches in science and technology in commercial field. As in my whole career I felt that its lagging too much in our country (except southern parts of India).Whatever researches are going on in big government institutes remain in journals and proceedings of seminars.Very few come up in application. While crores of rupees are spent every year by many funding sectors viz; UGC,CSIR,DBT and many more. Today after reading views of Mr Narayan Murthy and Mr Mashelkar I felt really supportive from their side as I have requested in many seminars and meetings about this innovation. Mr Narayan Murthy: What we really require is science, technology and innovation policy.Innovation is mind to market, concept to commercialisation. In the rest of the world you see that is happening. Mr Mashelkar: Human...

Memristor is latest entry in innovation which could possibly replace RAM in near future. It will make computers more intelligent by tracking data it has retained. It could allow computers to make decisions by understanding past patterns of data it has collected, similar to human brains collecting and understanding a series of events. For example, a memristor circuit could be capable of telling a microwave the heating time for different food types based on the information it has collected over time, said Stanley Williams, senior fellow at HP A memristor circuit requires lower voltage and less time to turn on than competitive memory like DRAM and flash, Williams said. "Because it uses less voltage and less time, of course, it uses much less power," Williams said. Denser cells also allow memristor circuits to store more data than flash memory. Through prototypes, HP is trying to show circuit designers what memristor is capable of doing. "What we have done is confirmed a concept for...
