I have met Godmother and then I read this book 'Mafia Queens'. Women have been portrayed in a totally different manner. We end up knowing the different side of women. Behind every successful man there is a woman and it is true in underworld as well. We are still having discusions on are women weak, Why do women work, should we marry a working woman, are women competitive and all that. We also dicsuss that why women are not on higher post and why do they earn less. But while we are discussing various things here, some women are shopping somewhere and some are planning an attack!! In the end who gets to spend all the extra money the men earns? Whom do they listen to and take an advice from ? ...

I found this story (source unknown) I found it very interesting and worth sharing.. A worried woman went to her Doctor and said : 'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 yr. old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.' So the doctor said: 'Ok, and what do you want me to do?' She said: 'I want you to perform an abortion, and I'm counting on your help with this.' The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.' She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: 'Y...

Hey I am really happy to share this one!!! Two is a small number but still we should be proud of them. There are so many men up their in this list but these ladies really rock!! There are 50 people on the list.. out of which there are just 2 women.. The first among them was the non-executive chairperson of Jindal Steel and Power Limited and JSW Steel, Savitri Jindal. The lady is not only the wealthiest woman in India, but also the 56th richest person in the world! The mother of 9 kids has an estimate of $13.2 B along with her family. Kudos to her for this success! Following her is the chairperson of Bennett, Coleman Co. Ltd. Indu Jain. The 74-year-old lady rank’s 440th on the entire li...

Hi all, Here is a little poem I have written on Women's Day... :) I hope you all will like it.. She loves and she cares She smiles and she shares.. She lends a hand when you need one.. She is fun of life and full of fun.. She suffers but chooses to be quite. She feels she should wait for the time right.. Sometimes she is right .. Sometimes she is wrong.. But no one can be perfect.. No one can always go along.. Let us respect her and give her , her true place.. Admire her char ..admire her grace.. The mother..The sister.. The daughter.. The spouse.. All the great one's known.. Kamaladevi's life reflected a remarkable era in India's history; she lived the problems faced by Indian women, and triumphed in the Indian renaissance. She was born in an intellectual family to Ananthaiah and Girijabai Dhareshwar in Mangalore. Even though well off, the sudden death of her father caused turmoil in the family, and Mrs. Dhareshwar lost her rightful inheritances. To reduce the responsibilities of the widow, Kamaladevi was married even when she was a child, and she herself became a widow, before understanding the meaning of a marriage! The young girl had to face the scorn of an orthodox society, as the status of a widow was miserable then. Yet, Kamaladevi pursued education and h...

To all the guys who read this…..please read fully and understand………….. This is a beautiful article: The woman in your life…very well expressed… Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well. Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; Who is earning almost as much as you do; One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are; One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your Sister haven’t, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements One, who has lived and loved her parents brothers sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life; One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family ,name One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her...

India is a free nation. People have rights but still women are struggling to come up. There is a lot of violence against women not only in India but also in other countries. So what can men who really want this to stop do? 1. Don't remain silent when you see anyone you know is abusing a woman. 2. If you feel woman around you is harassed, ask her. 3.If you are emotionally, psychologically, physically, or sexually abusive to women, or have been in the past, seek professional help NOW. 4.Don’t fund sexism. Refuse to purchase any magazine, rent any video, subscribe to any Web site, or buy any music that portrays girls or women in a sexually degrading or abusive manner. Protest sexism in the media 5.Mentor and teach young boys about how to be men in ways that don’t involve degrading or abusing girls and women. Volunteer to work with gender violence prevention programmes, including anti-sexist men’s programmes. Lead by example. Read more Spread the message and add your points.

Grown in the lab: Artificial implants (Cornea) that restore sight in partially blind patients Here is a good news: Button-shaped artificial corneas have restored the sight in men and women in danger of going blind. The man-made corneas were just as good at improving eyesight as those usually obtained from donors. In time, the transparent implants could help ease the dire shortage of donated corneas. Worldwide, 1.5million people go blind each year because they cannot have corneal transplants. Damage to the cornea, the collagen-based transparent outermost layer of the eye, is one of the most common causes of blindness. It affects ten million people around the world and can be caused by genetics, surgery, burns, infection or chemotherapy. Previous attempts to develop synthetic implants have had limited success. To create an implant that is as close as the real thing as possible, the North American and Swedish researchers grew a synthetic form of human collagen in the lab and moulded...
