About "Advertising: How much is too much?" topic:
Advertisements are everywhere. If you turn on the TV you could switch between only a few channels and find a commercial within 10 seconds. When you are on the move and turn on the radio you can't get away from all the advertisements and you can't drive anywhere without passing a billboard or some sort of other advertisement. When you surf the net you can't go to any site with out seeing something, either Google or others. What does all this babbling mean? It means that we are all subject to too much advertising. The question is will it ever change, and one important question here needs to be answered like, How much is too much advertising?

Regulations made by laws and rules will definately curb the false claims made in advertisement and harnful products advertised. At the same time, media literacy will cure the damage caused by such advertisements.

The word advertising is for communication only, whatever form it may be. I do remember, a couple of years ago, an award winning half-page print-ad had only four words at the centre, "32-34-26-34"(I am not sure about all figures, but the first one...

No point in banning, it will not reduce the consumption level. Day by day as the culture changes this need for cigarette and alcohol is increasing. And advertisements has nothing to do with it, they do it just for brand promotion.......

Generally there is no much ads on cigartte and alcohol. But today we find some indirect ads promoting alcohols.... It would be great if some ads are developed on banning or to reduce the consumption of alcohol and cigarette........

Many advertisements come and go.. Few make an impression on our mind.. Impression might be good , bad and at times ugly!!! The government has cracked down on "obscene" deodorant advertisements directing advertisers to modify them or take them off air. The I B ministry has asked the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) to take action and submit a report within five days. On one side are the good ads like one of our Toostep user posted "wRite to change" ( Hath Uthao ) and on other hand are these ads.. It becomes more important because even the kids watch tv and ads will be viewed by all.. Many parents have hard time explaining to their kids that what it actually is and why should they change the channel. While the other group of people says why is this county with world's second largest population offended by sexuality? What is your point of view here?

Content marketing is undoubtedly one of the hot digital marketing terms of 2012, but there’s far more to identifying—and implementing—a successful content strategy than simply creating content. In fact, when considering the components of creating a content marketing strategy, writing is the easy part of the equation. In today’s increasingly crowded content marketplace, your brand needs to know how to not only create and implement a content strategy that will help you achieve your pre-determined goals, but also how to develop content that will also help you stand out in the stream. During a recent Marketing Cloud webinar, The Altimeter Group’s Charlene Li and Rebecca Lieb discussed “ Winning Content Marketing Strategies: Rebalance Your Organization to Deliver Effective Content .” At the centerpiece of the webinar was a recent study conducted by Rebecca with Zack Kirchner and Jaimy Szymanski. “ Content: The New Marketing Equation ” features input from 56 ecosystem...
