About "Avoid Hostility At Workplace....." topic:

Workplace anger and hostility often manifests itself in ways that have received a great deal of attention from business owners, researchers, legislators, and members of the business press in recent years. Workplace violence and sexual harassment are probably the two best known examples of workplace anger and hostility.

But anger and hostility can manifest themselves in other less dramatic ways that can nonetheless have a tremendously negative impact on a business by producing an environment marked by poor or nonexistent communication, lousy morale, excessive employee absenteeism or turnover, and a host of other undesired conditions.

So, lets discuss more on this........

Boss infiltration is concerning for many of professionals like you me. Infiltration to some extent is appreciated but you will not like anyone who will track your every move even though he/she is your boss. I got this beautiful insight thought to throw some light on this. Hope this will enlighten many of my wonderful friends on this platform....who deal with this situation more or less everyday in their worklife..... Vedant Joshi is a harassed man. Ever since he started at his new job, his boss Ramneek Mishra has been sidelining him and keeping direct channels of communication open with a few individuals who report to Vedant. The latter, whose performance rating is an unbroken one (excellen...

I beleiev repitation is always good if we also include some fresh ideas or features in it like repitation of any brand is important to manange the brand image but the same time to maintain the brand adding new ingredints is also equally important.
Ashish Patel  |  Argues in support of  "Repetion stall the sale"  |  1 year ago
I think it is repetation which creats brand image. for example, during IPL, its zoozoo ads that creats a brand themself. look around the release of almost every movie, there is so much buzz that u can't ignore them. there may be an exception like...

A really nice piece on the difference between Criticism v/s feedback, and how employees should take these two things in their stride and there is a thin line of difference b/w Criticism Feedback. Read on I felt very satisfied when I created the new design for the office. But when my boss expressed his dislike for it, it shook up my confidence in my work,” complained an employee at the office of my interior designer friend. “I can never tell the difference between criticism for my work or genuine feedback,” another colleague said, expressing her frustration. I know that this whole mechanism of feedback and considering everyone’s opinion before making a decision can get annoying to the point ...

Nice one and however, criticism differs from feedback. Thanks for the referral Mr. Janaki Ram.

Feed back or criticism depends on the individual`s perspective hence vastly varies. Better option is to assess both and choose the best.

Use training to get more in-demand skills in terms of what profession you are choosing. This may help increase your value in your organization, but even when it doesn't it will help you move to another organization.

Lets admit that we all are the victims of workplace hostility. We all fight the situation try to overcome it................ Experiencing feelings of inadequacy in your present job when you were a constant performer in your previous employment could mean that you are dealing with workplace hostility. Too many laws have been enacted to address concerns on bullying; workplace harassment, and violence yet very few means have been created to deviate this growing number on hostility instead. To know how to resolve conflicts at work (no matter how deeply-rooted they are), you have to understand the problem right at its very root. Workplace hostility is defined as a place where you have to constan...

Office Etiquette or Office Manners is about conducting yourself   respectfully and courteously   in the office or workplace I have noticed that as we go from college to the real corporate world it is hard to get used to a different environment. This is for freshers because other would be knowing the thumb rules already.   Always act with honesty and   dignity Chewing   gum   and popping bubble gum in the presence of co-workers is neither cool nor dignified Never   do it whilst attending customers Wear appropriate office   attire,   for example correct footwear, not thongs (flip flops) - they are strictly casual or beachwear No exposed midriff to   display   tattoos and body piercing. Be neat, clean and as   conservative   as the business requires you to be We are put off by   smelly people.   So, be sure to shower regularly and use a suitable deodorant Do not   cough or sneeze   in anyone's direction. Use a tissue, if possible, to contain the germs and then say "Excuse me" The  ...

Hi All, Came across a nice artical, thought beneficial for all HR professionals : What else does it take to K.E.E.P your employees satisfied? "People work for much more than a paycheck." Most employees are looking for common elements from the people they work for . People, regardless of position, seek a good " Relationship with their manager ", " A positive work environment ", and " Praise and recognition ". Successfully combine these three elements and implement them effectively and you have created the foundation for a great retention strategy. It is obvious that these crucial elements have little or nothing to do with compensation. Instead they remind us an important fact: People work for much more than a paycheck. People not only want their jobs to be a source of income but a source of attaining pride, professional development, enjoyment, and acknowledgment of their skills and efforts as well. With this in mind, I would like to introduce to you a retention-boosting method,...
