India must stand up with Bangladesh by Rajeev Sharma (July 02, New Delhi, Sri Lanka Guardian) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit Bangladesh in September 2011. External Affairs Minister S M Krishna will be in Bangladesh on July 6 on a bilateral visit which will be preparatory in nature to pave the way for a successful prime ministerial visit. In turn, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao prepared a solid ground for Krishna’s Bangladesh visit when she visited Dhaka on June 6-7. These frequent high-level exchanges between the two neighbours are important as Indo-Bangladesh bilateral relations have been going from strength to strength ever since Sheikh Hasina started her second prim...

I don't think there is any harm to stand up with Bangladesh. In fact our past experience is not good but we can give them another chance to improve the relations with us. If it works out at least one side will be little safe and Bangladesh will...

A Bangladesh Border Deal? With a couple of days before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to Bangladesh, India and Bangladesh have done something for the first time that will come in handy for resolving differences over their 4,156-kilometre-long border: they have prepared strip maps of the border following a joint survey by the two countries. The 11,000-page strip maps (not to scale drawings of routes that include critical points along the border) will be crucial in helping the two neighbours iron out their long-standing border dispute. Indications are that the two sides are indeed going to sign the boundary agreement during Singh’s upcoming visit to Dhaka, a move that would be a majo...

Saudi Arabia Makes War On Bangladesh January 24, 2012: Much to the distress of Indian leaders, on January 19th the Bangladesh army announced it had thwarted a coup attempt against the government, conceived and nearly executed by some mid-ranking officers. Five army officers, including a lieutenant colonel and two Majors have already been arrested, while a top army officer is under investigation. The attempted coup was instigated by Islamic radical military personnel, including some Bangladeshis living abroad and retired and serving officers. Ever since the India-friendly government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came into office in December 2008, her arch-rival Begum Khaleda Zia and elemen...

Security experts have discovered the biggest series of cyber attacks to date, involving the infiltration of the networks of 72 organizations including the United Nations, governments and companies around the world. The long list of victims in the five-year campaign include the governments of the United States, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Vietnam and Canada; the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN); the International Olympic Committee (IOC); the World Anti-Doping Agency; and an array of companies, from defense contractors to high-tech enterprises. "What is happening to all this data ... is still largely an open question. However, if even a fraction of it is used to build better competing products or beat a competitor at a key negotiation (due to having stolen the other team's playbook), the loss represents a massive economic threat." Jim Lewis, a cyber expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, was briefed on the discovery by McAfee. He said it was...

Social networking keeps on going crazy and many of us have managed to be online almost 24X7! Sharing on facebook, twitter or other places is fun for some and style for others and foe few of us it has become the way of life. This has brought the need for Smartphones and many of us in love with touch screens. iPhone and iPads are sold like crazy and so there are tons of apps available everywhere to do various things. I recently found this app which says " Walk Type Share "..At first I was like everyone does that then what is new in the app??!! It says "Walk Type Share is a messaging social networking application for iPhone and iPad to text message while walking and share through SMS, Facebook, Twitter, email and group messaging, using transparent keyboard with live camera background." I am not sure how is it good for us.. but new apps are worth a shot aren't they?? Whats your take on new apps coming up everyday..which ones do you recommend??

In many ways, a manager has to be a leader, so therefore a manager will have many of the traits that a leader does. However, I feel the term 'manager' applies primarily to business, it's in a manager's best interest to lead his co-workers effectively, encouraging them to achieve their goals and targets. In my experience, a leader is more of a social thing; more associated with team work, too. Go to Discussion http://lnkd.in/wUJe5E
