I agree. The Awareness about Non-Conventional Energy sources must be taken to student levels, in higher secondary, polytechnic colleges. And the new ideas arising as projects shall be appreciated. Irrespective of cost the Solar power can be...

I agree and  this needs to be done in grassroot level for small power requirements. Since the power generated from these sources shall be very less compared to big power stations .... I agree your point of view about some national policy.

Waste to Energy has several ways of Electricity Generation: 1. SOLID WASTE-----STEAM ------POWER THRU STEAM TURBINE:   This can be seen in many Inds like Sugar where Baggase is used in High Pressure Boiler and then Power Generated from Steam...

It is wonderful idea if power from Bagasse can be exported to Grid,i.e making wealth from waste,a carbon credit also.
pradeep joshi  |  Supported idea  "Recovery"  |  2 years ago
Yes , amit this is the future energy, as fuel energy cost is rising, so it is a good option too,

Yes Manish you are right. Biogas is very much environment friendly, pollution free and is capable to fulfil energy requirement. Government should implement it.

No biofuel yeilding plants are never a crime at all.Instead plantation will help in decreasing pollution to great extent. As a result carbon credits will be enhanced too.Biofuel plants can be grown in waste land so no question of decresing food...

Scientist have found a way by which the planet warming carbon dioxide can be converted in Biogas i.e. clean burning methanol. Scientist uses a non-toxic organocatalysts to make ethanol, a biofuel that is also used as an industrial feedstock. The Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology said the team, led by Yugen Zhang, used N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs), an organocatalyst in the chemical reaction with carbon dioxide. NHCs are stable and the reaction between NHCs and carbon dioxide can take place under mild conditions in dry air, the statement said, adding only a small amount of the catalyst was needed. The process also used hydrosilane, a combination of silica and hydrogen. 'Hydrosi...

no way bio-fuels are harmful to the environment. Even if it is that is very negligible when compared to the crude oil effect. In fact biofuels help in reducing the global warming. For example, if you are using microalage as the biofuel soure,...

No, it will not harm the environment. The amount of carbon dioxide released by burning fossil fuels in a year can harm the environment and result in warming, with bio fuel the  amount of carbon dioxide released can be reduced by almost 20%. This...

Canadian scientists have found that the antioxidant power of garlic is related to the organic compound allicin, research that deepens our understanding of the potential benefits of this food and supplements favourite. The antioxidant effects are due to a compound called sulfenic acid, which is produced by the decomposition of allicin, according to data published in the international edition of Angewandte Chemie. 'Basically the allicin compound has to decompose in order to generate a potent antioxidant,' said lead author Dr Derek Pratt. 'The reaction between the sulfenic acid and radicals is as fast as it can get, limited only by the time it takes for the two molecules to come into contact. ...

IN RECENT times, Maharashtra has been experiencing a severe power crisis. For many decades, it had a reputation for reliable supply and recorded good progress both in industry and agriculture. But because of little or no addition to generation capacity for almost a decade, many parts of Maharashtra are now subject to power cuts for six-ten hours a day. During the 1990s, there was a flurry of seminars and symposia by the Independent Power Producers Association (IPPA) to educate government functionaries about how the structure of the power supply industry should be changed to make it IPP-friendly. Notwithstanding the time and energy invested by civil servants and politicians, the growth in private sector generation over the past decade-and-a-half has been very modest and indeed dismal. The star of the private sector, Enron project, which has occupied media space extensively over the past decade, has been a real disaster for the country. Many power professionals warned the country of...
