A lawsuit has been filed in a court here charging Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan with violating the disabilities act through his latest film Paa in which he plays a 13-year-old boy suffering from progeria, which accelerates the ageing process. The case has been filed by Patna High Court lawyer Shruti Singh in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate under The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. It has also been filed against Paa director R Balkrishna. And her stand is simple: If it violated the disability act, the authorities should act against the pr...

I agree with kashif here, every time we see that its the film makers who will be doing such things but then at times it will be the other way around it will be some person trying to get the limelight just because by throwing a lawsuit against...

ofcourse it is the writer  is  important than the movie stars. the writer is the one who thinks about a heroic character and makes it work by writing the script. the hero only acts according to the director. a well built screenplay can be made to...

We cannot deny the dominance of the so called superstars in the  Movie Industry  both India and abroad,no matter how much we dislike it. How many times you go to watch a movie just because its lyrics is penned by Jawed Akhtar ? Even worse even...
Kavitha Shankar  |  Argues in support of  "Writers-lyricists(script)"  |  3 years ago
I think this was bound to happen sooner or later as writers-lyricists were always kept in the dark from producers and music companies on their royalties, they were literally treated really bad, and when the movie did good it was the star that...

A well planned drama by SRK. He want to promote his new movie.. "My name is Khan..." for which a global release is planned. This is just a marketing trick..
M. Prabhakar Rao  |  Argues in support of  "Yes"  |  3 years ago
Yes, we are, For one thing, SRK's face may be familiar to Indian, here abroad, but need not be to Whitemen, so detaining him for questioning is routinely done as to the purpose of visit by a foreign pass-port holder, and in the Western world,...

Politics and government are treated as words with negative connotations in the Indian society. Interestingly, the same is not true for many countries in other parts of the world. Curtis Riep, a graduate in international relations from University of Calgary, Canada; Ramiro Gomes Monteiro, political sciences and history student at Utrecht University, Netherlands; Catherine See, student of international relations at the National University of Malaysia; Katie Farrer, bachelor of law and political science at University of Otago, New Zealand; Joshua Stark, student of international development from McGill University, Canada; along with Swar Shah, Apoorv Shah and Kanan Dhru of the RFGI team have been visiting different schools and colleges in the city. They interact with youths about...
