About ""Chalta Hai" attitude for India's internal security" topic:
With the death of YSR Reddy, India has lost yet another rising politician to the 'chalta hai' culture. The same culture that makes us happily accept mediocrity in almost every aspect of life. By all accounts, Reddy would have still been around if he, or the aviation wing of the Andhra Pradesh government, had not compromised with the safety aspects.
There has been several occasions like this and it is country's most serious internal security challenge. How to rectify this.........

Excellence A gentleman was once visiting a temple under construction. In the temple premises, he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he saw, just a few meters away, another identical idol was lying. Surprised he asked the sculptor, Do you need two statues of the same idol? No , said the sculptor, We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage . The gentleman examined the sculpture. No apparent damage was visible. Where is the damage? asked the gentleman. There is a scratch on the nose of the idol Where are you going to keep the idol? . The sculptor replied that it will be installed on a pillar 20 feet high. Security experts have discovered the biggest series of cyber attacks to date, involving the infiltration of the networks of 72 organizations including the United Nations, governments and companies around the world. The long list of victims in the five-year campaign include the governments of the United States, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Vietnam and Canada; the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN); the International Olympic Committee (IOC); the World Anti-Doping Agency; and an array of companies, from defense contractors to high-tech enterprises. Jim Lewis, a cyber expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, was briefed on the discovery by McAfee. He said it was...
