Windows Live SkyDrive (previously Windows Live Folders) is part of Microsoft's Windows Live range of services. SkyDrive allow users to upload their files to the computing cloud, and then access them from a web browser. The SkyDrive service utilizes Windows Live ID to limit access to the files the user has uploaded, allowing them to keep the files private, share with contacts, or make the files public. Publicly-shared files do not require a Windows Live ID to access. Windows Live SkyDrive The service currently offers 5GB, with a maximum upload file size of 50MB. Up to five files can be uploaded each time. Optionally, an ActiveX tool can be installed to allow drag-and-drop uploading from Windows Explorer. Facts about "Jana Gana Mana" - Just a thought for the National Anthem! How well do you know about it?     I have always wondered who is the "adhinayak" and "bharat bhagya vidhata",    whose praise we are singing. I thought might be Motherland India! Our current National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung throughout the country.   Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn't.   To begin with, India's national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honour of King George V and the Queen of  England when they visited India in 1919.   To honour their visit Pandit Motilal  Nehru had the five stanzas included, which are in praise of the King and  Queen. (And most of us think it is in the praise of our great motherland!! !)   In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule, i.e. Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha etc. were mentioned. None of  the  princely states were recognised which are integral parts of India...

Software as a service (SaaS) is the talk of the day and it will increase in its popularity since there a scope of opensource to push it higher and higher. Gartner predicts that SaaS will be driven by opensource in the future. And the prediction is supported by facts and figures. By 2010, 90 percent of software as a service (SaaS) providers will have some open-source component in their technology infrastructure stacks (that is, operating system, application server and database) to reduce software acquisition expenses, according to Gartner, Inc.   User communities are expanding around application-platform-as-a-service providers and will leverage open-source practices for sharing software applications.   As the number of software as a service users increase the opensource support will also grow along with it, definitely. The more SaaS vendors use open source in the technology stack, the lower their software acquisition cost becomes. Users, however, should not expect cost savings to be...
