About "Cloud Computing - The New Wave Of Technology" topic:
Before we delve into the reasons why cloud computing is the wave of the future we must first understand what cloud computing is.So what does this mean? Simply put, companies (Google, Microsoft,
Amazon) will provide users with software that resides on their servers
in the "cloud" or the "grid" so that users can access that software and
information from anywhere and on any computer attached to the internet.
In other words software would cease to be just a tangible product that
you buy and install on your computer.
Lets discuss more on this....

Dear friends, i am sharing this very vital information and use of technology.Hope you will enjoy reading it BANGALORE: You are at your pharmacist , asking for prescription pills. As he delivers the strip, you scratch on it to reveal a code and text it from your mobile phone to a given number. Pat comes a message that says whether the drug is counterfeit . Welcome to the world of cloud computing, whose latest use is to check the menace of counterfeit drugs. The system evolved from a pilot programme implemented in Africa to check the authenticity of life-saving drugs distributed there. An African nonprofit social enterprise, mPedigree , together with HP Labs as the technology provider laun...

Good insight Mr. Bakhsh sir. As Mr. Srinivas mentioned, this would certainly help who have an edge to use technology. In India, predominantly, we have a very serious confusion in using the term "fake" and "spurious" drugs. "Fake" means "Not...

According to this Google white paper, cloud computing actually reduces hosting costs. Have any SEP members seen hosting cost reductions through using cloud computing? http://bit.ly/sepcloudcost To quote the white paper: “Cloud computing—or SaaS, if you prefer—frees up budget for companies hand-cuffed by IT expenses. Instead of purchasing additional software licenses and hardware for new employees and new locations, businesses can simply open new employee accounts with providers of their cloudbased services to expand computing capacity. It ultimately helps CIOs rationalize their legacy systems and get their “arthritic IT” in order.” As we’ve discussed previously, cloud computing can allow gr...

Imagine showing up to the office one morning to the chilling reality of having been a victim of theft. Laptop computers are missing, LCD monitors gone and, most disturbingly, the space where the file server is vastly empty. Not only are you faced with the loss of expensive and valuable equipment, but also the critical data you are accountable for has now been compromised. Theft of valuable and sensitive computer equipment can have extreme repercussions and costs to businesses, individuals, and the general public. You hear it all the time but never imagine it will happen to you. Unfortunately, computer theft and tampering is real and occurs more often than most people realize. As technologie...

In an exclusive interview with Srikanth RP and Harshal Kallyanpur, Red Hat CEO, Jim Whitehurst details why the cloud can be the mother of all lock-ins, why the idea of version 2.0 of any software will be dead, and why the new-world IT order will be led by a different set of leaders Few vendors have gained from rapid changes in technology and the economy, as much as open source poster boy, Red Hat. As enterprises looked at reducing their overall IT spend in a declining economy, open source become an attractive proposition—and Red Hat rode the wave. Today, even as the technology world fawns over cloud computing, Red Hat is looking at a bright future in the new cloud order. In an exclusive int...

"Ashok, a fresh computer graduate from a world- class University, goes for an interview in a Software company. The interviewer is Sunder, a grubby old man. And the first question he asks Ashok is, ‘Are you good at logic?’ ‘Of course,’ replies Ashok. ‘Let me test you,’ replies Sunder. ‘Two men come down a chimney. One comes with a clean face and the other comes out with a dirty face. Which one would wash his face?’ Ashok stares at Sunder. ‘Is that a test in Logic?’ Sunder nods. ‘The one with the dirty face washes his face’, Ashok answers wearily. ‘Wrong. The one with the clean face washes his face. Examine the simple logic. The one with the dirty face looks at the one with the clean face and thinks his face is clean. The one with the clean face looks at the one with the dirty face and thinks his face is dirty. So, the one with the clean face washes his face.’ ‘Hmm. I never thought of that," says Ashok. ‘Give me another test.’ Sunder holds up two fingers, ‘Two men come down a...

No 1: India Since 1991, when economic liberalization unshackled India from the slow rate of growth and threw its doors open to the global economy, India has never looked back. The Knight Frank report assumes that India will shake off its current crop of social, political and economic issues and go on to the top of the heap.

Rahul Dravid announced his retirement and suddenly we find a new member in the team. Some people think he should have retired earlier while other say he should have continued playing. But all in all I find his decision of making space for someone new right. We need the 'new' generation to come u and replace old before it is too late. This is not only applicable to the game but everywhere. Yes specially politics. During the recent elections when the elephant was run over by the cycle we all knew its going to be one of them. It rarely makes any difference who it is. In cricket the selector don't want to let go the experienced and in politics the inexperienced do not want to jump in. How often do we find a new bee out of an unknown background coming up for a change. If we ask our-self would we be up to participate in the dirty job? I presume that perhaps the answer is 'NO' My question is how can we convince, teach and encourage the new generation to participate in the process of...
