In my opinion, IT is NOT for the sake of technology or for such a purpose; It is for enabling business, efficiency, optimization of cost etc in order to achieve the business goal; But not sure about the consultants priorities. Regards

Makes good sense. But IT has become such a big platform that nowadays it seems more like a necessity. There are areas where the use of IT can be avoided. But the mentality is such the company feels handicapped without it.
