About "Conservation Or Innovation - What is the solution??" topic:

The world is gradually marching towards a severe energy crisis, what with an ever-increasing demand of energy overstepping its supply. We have always known that the energy we use everyday is not unlimited, yet we take it for granted. Oil, gas, power, even water has limited availability. Yet, we have not taken enough precautions to deal with a possible energy crisis. When I say ‘we’, I am not referring to the governments but to all of us, the common people.

Oil and gas have already become too expensive, and with each passing day, they are moving towards being extinct. Some ignorant people think that energy crisis is a myth. They fail to see the big picture.

Till innovation takes place and new technology becomes commercially viable, we have to go for energy conservation only. don't forget, it is easy to conserve than produce.

Lets not forget that conservation will stretch the extinct period by say....a decade and a half from now.... but later...innovation has to step in... Its is the only way to we can make our energy consumption efficient.. Its difficult to control...

The bad news is we can't wait for breakthroughs to solve our energy problems. The good news is we don't have to. If there's no action before 2012, that's too late. What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future. This is the...

Both conservation and innovation are the order of the day to combat energy crisis. Other means of generating power like wind turbines, extracting energy from biomass are essential. There are untapped potential of number of water falls in and...

Conventional energies and systems have associated risks. These may relate to pricevolatility, economic and socio-political instability, security, development and technical failure. Most developing nations are coal and oil importers, exposed to...

Of course the subject is interesting. We have to be balanced.Regarding innovation we should use more of solar energy, Windmill power town and village level. Saving energy is only is short time adjustment. instead we should go new method to produce...

I am of a different viewpoint on this topic. Patent encourages and promotes innovation as the innovator gets a sense of pride and recognition which furthers people zest to find new solutions and ways......Innovation. New ideas should always get...

Whenever you save energy, you not only save money, you also reduce the demand for such fossil fuels as coal, oil, and natural gas. Less burning of fossil fuels also means lower emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), the primary contributor to global warming, and other pollutants. You do not have to do without to achieve these savings. There is now an energy efficient alternative for almost every kind of appliance or light fixture. That means that consumers have a real choice and the power to change their energy use on a revolutionary scale. The average American produces about 40,000 pounds of CO2 emissions per year. Together, we use nearly a million dollars worth of energy every minute, night a...

Nitin, your observations are paradoxical, yet meaningful. Not every user is a scientist or an inventor. New energy initiatives are on. But this article is meant for those who use the available resources disregarding conservation principle. Fossil...

Few simple steps to conserve energy: Do not leave your Air Conditioner on while you are out or it is simply not needed. In fact it is estimated that your Air Conditioner wastes about $0.25 worth of energy in one hour. Instead of Switches, use of...

Advancements in Cataract Surgery Cataract is one of the most commonly occuring vision defect in older population. The treatment is mainly surgical. The recent advancements in surgical procedures has made it more acceptable. The advanced procedures are painless, bloodless. Nearly everything is finding a home on the Internet, and software development is no different. But this trend called platform-as-a-service, or PaaS, could have huge implications. In theory, PaaS makes it far easier for businesses and other enterprises to develop their own applications, instead of licensing or buying the applications from software companies. The change represents a fundamental disruption to how software gets distributed and consumed, says Paul McNamara, chief executive of small PaaS vendor Coghead. The trend marks "a significant watershed event," he said. PaaS can be applied to any market, by any company, according to William Blair Co. analyst Laura Lederman. "The emergence of the PaaS offering also represents something more fundamental: a challenge to the way applications are developed and to the vendors that currently dominate software platforms," Lederman wrote in a recent report. One such dominant software platform is Microsoft 's ( MSFT ) Windows. How much of a...

The King is ailing, who will succeed the King? That is of course the question on the mind of Apple’s shareholders, employees and to a lesser extent its customers and clients (who will jump to a Droid or Google, if and when they create products that excite and service them as well as Apple products). Despite protestations and reassurances from Jobs and Apple COO, Tim Cook, and despite their not just weathering, but thriving during Jobs-less times, an Apple without Jobs makes many nervous to their core. If we were to think of Jobs not as a unique and irreproducible person, but as a mindset, skill set and capacity that could be deconstructed and then modeled, not only could Apple continue its amazing growth, but other companies might follow suit. Much has been written about Jobs trying to figure out his “secret sauce” so that others might use it to propel their companies and careers to extraordinary outcomes. 1.     Dropped out of Reed College 2.     Calligraphy 3.     Psychedelics...
