About "Construction Project Management" topic:
Construction Project Management is the overall planning,
co-ordination and control of a project from inception to completion
aimed at meeting a client’s requirements in order to produce a
functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on
time within authorised cost and to the required quality standards. Most projects have targets, which means they have to built right, within a cost budget, and finished by a certain date. Project management is simply making sure that all these targets are met. Discuss here anything related to construction project management.

I support for poor planning or no planning. Planning is the key to success of the project, then whether it is for resources/material/finance. It is the major cause due to which project fails.

Improper communication to all impacted team/individual and lack of complete analysis leads to wrong cost estimation. One requires complete visualization of the project. Identifying all the impacted area/persons help to accumulate the complete cost.

RESULT = Func(EFFORT, NOISE) EFFORT = Your input (Decisions Actions) towards attainment of Set Goal or RESULT. The Success and % of Accompalishment of RESULT, also depends on the NOISE. NOISE = Negative Impact on account of Other's Input (Decisions Actions) If Noise is in your Favour, then you are Lucky i.e. 100% EFFORT gives 100% RESULT If Noise is against you, then you are Unlucky i.e. 100% EFFORT gives lesser than 100% RESULT At any case RESULTS can be at PAR or BELOW EFFORTS made but NOT ABOVE EFFORTS MADE... Hence, if anyone says I expected 80% in Exam but scored 85%, and he calls himself LUCKY... Then its wrong statement , he scored 85% because his efforts were at par

As project manager, you are the Agency’s senior decision maker on the project and should be delegated that commensurate decision making authority. Where the Agency’s governance policy requires actions to be approved by the Agency’s board, the PMP and Agency administrative procedures should not unduly delay the construction schedule. Similarly, your project procedures should delegate authority to the CM staff for activities contracted out to the CM. You should base the division of duties between the Agency and CM on who is best suited to the function. Typically the Agency deals with project’s stakeholders and the CM with the technical matters concerning contractor work. Below are the Agency
